Washington DC In-Person and Online Hybrid Event

In-person vs. online attendance: Keynote panels are available to all in-person participants and to online participants who register for that panel. There is a full program of additional sessions including workshops, public policy sessions, standards sessions, posters, software demos, and networking opportunities only available to in-person attendees. The in-person registration also include the event dinner (banquet), lunch on both days, and coffee breaks. We encourage you to join us in-person if you can. 
 

Posters: Registered in-person attendees will be provided an opportunity to share information about their relevant work to interested event attendees through poster presentations and live demos, subject to vetting for relevance. More information and poster submission / demo application.

Posters:

All registered in-person participants may present a posters at the event. Posters will only be displayed at the event and will not be published, as such they will not be peer reviewed. While we reserve the exclusive right to reject / remove posters we determine are inappropriate, the expectation is that all submitted posters will be displayed and may be presented to other participants during the poster session (during lunch on each day). 

Poster contents can be from sources including but not limited to:

  • previously published academia papers, book chapters
  • work in-progress 
  • project proposals
  • relevant products or tools developed 
  • software platforms
  • policies, community guidance, or best practices

 

Poster size: The suggested size is A0. Registered in-person attendees will need to print out their posters and bring them to the event. Poster easels will be provided at the event.

Registered in-person participants can submit their poster here (please do so by 5pm, Washington DC time, on September 28).

Demo: 

Registered in-person attendees can also propose to do a demo at the event on a relevant software tool or product. The demo should be limited to no more than 10 minutes. Demos with hands-on exercises or other interactive activities are especially welcome.  Register to provide a demo on the poster submission form.

Cancellation Policy
All refund/cancellation requests must be received in writing to [email protected] by 15 September, 2023, 11:59 PM Eastern Time. There will be an administrative fee of US$20 for cancelled registrations.
You may only cancel your registration before the cancellation deadline.

Special Offers: 

  • Until September 15th universities may purchase a block of 50 student tickets to attend one panel online (live or via recording for a limited time) for a heavily discounted rate of $800. See poster.
  • Until September 11th IEEE Sections and their professional chapters may register to run a satellite in-person event to watching one of the panels live, or via recording (for a limited time) and host an in-person discussion. Cost: $200, a report and photos of the event. The Section / chapter may set its own pricing for the local event. See poster.
